# Terms of use

_Effective October 8, 2026._ By using 17x7.com, its widgets, the API at api.17x7.com or the MCP server, you agree to these terms.

## Estimates, not advice

Every calculator gives an estimate based on the inputs you provide and the sources cited on its page. Results are not financial, tax, legal, engineering or building-code advice. Marketplace fees change, local codes differ, and real projects have conditions a calculator cannot see. Check important numbers with the official source or a qualified professional before you rely on them.

## No warranty

17x7 and its calculators come to you "as is" and "as available". We make no promises, express or implied, about accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. As far as the law allows, 17x7 is not responsible for any loss or damage that follows from relying on the site or its results, or from the site being unavailable.

## Embeddable widgets

You may embed any calculator listed on the [widgets page](https://17x7.com/widgets/) on your own website for free, including commercial sites, on one condition: keep the visible "Powered by 17x7" link that comes with the embed code, unmodified and followable (no `nofollow`, no hiding). You may not frame the widget in a way that suggests it is your own product or that 17x7 endorses you. We may update widgets at any time.

## API and MCP server

The JSON API and the MCP server are free to use without a key, subject to fair-use rate limits (currently 60 requests per minute per IP address). Do not use them to overload the service, to resell raw access, or for anything unlawful. We may change limits or endpoints, and may block traffic that harms the service. Documented endpoints are versioned; we will announce breaking changes on the [developers page](https://17x7.com/developers/).

## Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, scrape it in a way that degrades service, or misrepresent results produced by it.

## Trademarks

Etsy, Amazon, Fulfillment by Amazon, Trex and other names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe what a calculator does. 17x7 is not affiliated with them.
